World Alzheimer’s Day is Thursday, September 21. Make a push to your network for their support and spread the word about the Marr Fund! To increase your fundraising success, don’t forget to:
- Tell YOUR story via email, social media, etc. using the fundraising template
- Share the Marr Fund IMPACT and WHAT WE SUPPORT by sharing our one-pager found by clicking here
- Ask EVERYONE! And make sure to follow up! Remember, no response does not mean no!
- Add our social images to your email signature or Instagram posts!

World Alzheimer’s Day Fundraising Challenge
Want to win some Marr swag?! There are THREE ways to win on September 21:
- The individual who raises the most money
- The individual who receives the most donations
- Any team member who raises over $150 via TeamRaiser will be entered into a chance drawing
Race Weekend Logistics:
Packet pick-up and expo: September 30 and October 1 (Click here for more information)
- When: Saturday from 11:00am – 5:00pm; Sunday from 5:30am – 7:00am
- Where: Sullivan Gym, University of Southern Maine, 96 Falmouth Street, Portland, ME
- *We encourage relay team captains to pick-up the packet for their entire team and distribute bibs among team members
Marr Fund Team gear pick-up: September 30
- When: Saturday from 4:00pm – 6:00pm
- Where: Home of John Marr Sr., 6 Mariner Lane, Falmouth, ME
- A limited number of shirts will also be available on race day at the start of the race, and at Skillins Greenhouse
Race: October 1
- When: Sunday from 7:45am – 2:00pm
- Where: Maine Marathon racecourse
- If you know of anyone who would like to volunteer on race day, please have them sign up by clicking here.
Post-race party: October 1
- When: Sunday from 1:00pm – 4:00pm
- Where: Home of John Marr Sr., 6 Mariner Lane, Falmouth, ME
