Will you join us in the fight to end Alzheimer’s?

The Marr Fund Team raises funds that directly support the work Brigham researchers are leading to better understand and prevent Alzheimer’s—100% of the funds raised go toward this research. This year, we hope to cross an exciting event milestone: $2 million raised since 2015.

You can be part of these efforts when you join our team in the Maine Marathon—and there are several ways for runners and non-runners to get involved. Complete a marathon, half marathon, or relay race in person on October 1 OR participate virtually from September 29 through October 1 by doing your favorite activity—walk, run, bike, golf, swim, and more from anywhere in the world.

Mark your calendar! The first 20 registrants on August 1 will receive a free Maine Marathon entry.* Complete the steps below:

In person:

  1. Register with the Maine Marathon and forward your entry to team@bwh.harvard.edu
  2. Create your fundraising page and commit to raising a minimum of $150

Virtual:

  1. Create your fundraising page and commit to raising a minimum of $100
  2. Optional: Register with the Maine Marathon

P.S. For questions, contact Ali Luthman at team@bwh.harvard.edu or 774 262 0314.

*Free entries will be issued as a refund to the credit card used when registering for the Maine Marathon. An eligible registrant will receive a refund of up to $30 for a virtual runner, $35 for a relay runner, $65 for a half marathon runner, or $75 for a marathon runner. Fundraising is separate from the Maine Marathon registration fee and is still required.
